The UNWTO-Excellence in Tourism Management course has finalized
The UNWTO-Excellence in Tourism Management course organized by the World Tourism Organization - through its UNWTO.Themis Foundation - and in close collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina, finalized on the 7th of August. The course was held in the Province of Chaco, Argentina, from 2 to 7 august.

New edition on UNWTO-Excellence in Tourism Management course
With the participation of National Tourism Administrations Officials from Africa and South America, the World Tourism Organization, with its UNWTO.Themis Foundation, and the Government of Argentina have started the course on UNWTO-Excellence in Tourism Management in the Province of Chaco, Argentina.

UNWTO.TedQual Programme joins the network to support the Schools Friends of Tourism in Colombia
In Buga, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, was held on 15th -16th July 2010, the First National Meeting of the Schools Friends of Tourism, a unique experience at national level, created by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism of Colombia, to enhance the commitment with the tourism activity of those who will be their future leaders, the students.

New edition of the University Course Tourism and International Cooperation for Development
44 young professionals from the Americas and Europe have participated in the University Course Tourism and International Cooperation for Development of the World Tourism Organization, organized by the UNWTO.Themis Foundation in the framework of its UNWTO.Volunteers Programme and in collaboration with the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Universitat de València y Universitat d’Andorra.

Korea and UNWTO.TedQual work on strength the links between national and international accreditation systems for tourism education
In Buan, Korea, among the 5th–7th July 2010, was carried out the Annual Meeting and International Conference of the Tourism Science Society of Korea (TOSOK), an instance where the links between National Accreditation Systems for Higher Tourism Education and UNWTO.TedQual Certification System were identified and discussed.

Joao Fogaça, member of the UNWTO volunteers corps, has travelled to Mozambique on 28 June to participate in the project ""Community Based Lodges Training Programme, Mozambique”" for a period of 6 months.

With more than 20 participants, the first edition of 2010 Practicum has ended with a closing ceremony attended by the Secretary-General of UNWTO, Mr. Taleb Rifai; the Executive Director for External Relations and Partnerships at UNWTO, Mr. Marcio Favilla; and the President of the UNWTO.Themis Foundation, Mr. Amr Abdel-Ghaffar.

Trustees’ Meeting
UNWTO and Andorra in the first World Tourism Forum
Within the framework of the UNWTO.Themis Foundation’s Trustees’ Meeting that was held on 12 April, the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, Mr. Taleb Rifai, and the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Principality of Andorra, Mr. Pere López, have agreed to organize a leading global tourism forum in this prime tourism destination of the Pyrenees, during the first quarter of 2011.
