Benefits of the UNWTO.TedQual certification system
At present, the UNWTO.TedQual Certification System offers the following advantages and benefits to the institutions that have obtained the UNWTO.TedQual certification:

  • - The only quality certification at the international level and issued by the UNWTO for tourism education, training and research programmes;
  •  
  • - Privileged use of the UNWTO.TedQual logo on official stationery, promotional materials and accrediting documents of the Programme;
  •  
  • - International promotion of the institution and its programmes through the various communication tools and mechanisms of the UNWTO;
  •  
  • - Participation in the education and training activities sponsored by the UNWTO, providing the institutions with the opportunity to interact with governments and the private sector;
    •  
    • - Possibility to apply to the UNWTO Education and Science Council;
  •  
  • - To be part of the Network of UNWTO.TedQual Institutions led by the UNWTO.Themis Foundation with the aim of fostering cooperation among the member institutions and with the UNWTO, as well as the sharing of knowledge, good practices and technical support.
  • The UNWTO.TedQual Network is composed of educational institutions whose tourism education, training and/or research programmes have obtained UNWTO.TedQual certification.
 
As of July 2009, the Network, managed by the UNWTO.Themis Foundation, includes 56 tourism education, training and research institutions from four continents.
 
 
Benefits of belonging to the UNWTO.TedQual Network

- Participation in joint research projects initiated by the UNWTO through the UNWTO.Themis Foundation.

Inclusion in the contact database normally used by the UNWTO for its calls for tenders;

Participation in exchange programmes for students and professors among UNWTO.TedQual Institutions and with the UNWTO.Themis Foundation;

- Receiving support (participation and dissemination by the UNWTO) in the holding of conferences and other activities carried out by the members of the Network;  

- Participation in cooperation-for-development projects in less-developed countries with the aim of supporting the creation or improvement of their study programmes.
